Hibiki Ishijima

石島 響

Hibiki Ishijima (she/her) is a Berlin/Tokyo-based Japanese, multi-media artist. Her research and artistic practice explore the interactivity between art and society, as well as the impact of media on individual perceptions and emotions. Her works in various forms such as installation, interactive art, film, kinetic art and internet art, bring sensations and experiences that evoke imaginations of invisible social and personal matters.
After obtaining her BFA and MFA in new media art from Tama Art University, she studied New Media and Experimental Film at Berlin University of the Arts in Visual Communication, completed MA.
She was awarded the DAAD Study Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies in Fine Arts(2020) and was a recipient of the Tobitate! Study Abroad Initiative by MEXT as well as the KUMA Foundation Creator Scholarship.


東京都生まれ。多摩美術大学および大学院修了(BFA、MFA)後、ベルリン芸術大学大学院New Media修了(MA)。現在はベルリンを拠点に活動中。
インスタレーション、映像、キネティックアートやインターネットアート等多様な表現を用い、目に見えないものを想像させる体験や現象、身体感覚などを扱う。 現在はアートと社会の相互作用性、メディアが個人の知覚や感情に与える影響についてのリサーチと芸術実践を行っている。
DAAD芸術奨学金2020年度奨学生。クマ財団クリエイター支援奨学金4期生。トビタテ!留学JAPAN6期生。
